Quizzer was a blonde pomeranian we adopted from our local animal shelter. She had been found as a stray and had terrible fleas, mats in her fur, and scrapped up paw pads. She had been on her own for some time.
Although on the big size for a pomeranian (10 lbs), the shelter believed she might have been used as a breeder in a puppy mill. Her teeth and gums were in very poor condition and she needed dental surgery. She was estimated to be over six years old.
Quizzer was our first Spitz-breed dog and we had her for nine years and she was a wonderful dog. She loved to go on walks and cuddle with us and watch television. She had a real fondness for rawhide chew sticks and was never a big barker. She was grateful for us and we were grateful for her.
